MARK VOLPE

Mark Volpe was CEO of the Boston Symphony Orchestra from 1997 to 2021 and previously had leadership positions with the orchestras of Detroit, Minnesota, and Baltimore. He has lectured at many of the leading universities in Italy and the US. His degrees include a JD from the University of Minnesota, a BM from the Eastman School and five honorary doctorates. In 2017, he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
